Laura, from the Bitney Prep Class of 2026 (pictured here with her mentor Venus Paxton) has an internship at Interfaith Food Ministry. Laura helps to pack bags and sort food for Nevada County residents.
Interfaith Food Ministry has provided supplemental food in Western Nevada County since 1987, serving over a million seniors, families with children, and single adults. They rely on donations of money and food and the work of 450 volunteers. They hold fundraisers and food drives and regularly apply for competitive grants. They feed the hungry, helping to sustain good health and human dignity.
